Deep expertise. A student-centered heart.
I don't just see a test score or a reading level. I see the whole child.
For nearly 20 years I have worked in Texas public and private elementary schools as a classroom teacher, an academic interventionist, a learning specialist, and an elementary school administrator.
I am a certified general education teacher at the EC–4th grade level, hold a Master of Education in Reading, and a Texas Reading Specialist certification (EC–12). The variety of roles I have served gave me a full view of how children learn, grow, and thrive, and of what happens when a learning gap goes unaddressed.
My mission is to replace the frustration that comes with learning gaps with confidence. Whether your child needs targeted reading help or broader academic support, I will meet them exactly where they are and help them make real, measurable progress.
Book a 15-minute call
Choose a time that works for you, even at 9 p.m. after bedtime. I'll call you at that time to hear about your child and answer your questions. There's no commitment.
Frequently asked questions
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are held in a quiet, dedicated learning space in my home in the Cochran's Crossing village of The Woodlands. I share the address when you book your first session. Families come from across The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, and Magnolia.
Are you available to come to my home, my child's school, or offer online tutoring sessions?
No. At this time I am only offering tutoring services at my home office, and I do not offer online tutoring. Nothing can replace face-to-face learning support during the early foundational years.
Are daytime or weekend tutoring times available?
Daytime sessions are available during the school week for students who are homeschooled or attend a school with a university model. Weekend times are uncommon but may be requested to make up for a missed lesson due to illness or scheduling conflicts.
What ages do you work with?
Children in PreK through 4th grade. Sessions are 45 minutes for PreK through 1st grade and 60 minutes for 2nd through 4th grade.
How often should my child come?
Most children do best with one or two sessions a week. Consistency matters more than session length, especially for reading.
Do you provide dyslexia therapy?
No. I'm a certified general education teacher and reading specialist, so I support children who need help building reading skills, but I don't offer dyslexia therapy or testing. If your child has a dyslexia diagnosis or you suspect one, I'm happy to talk with you about finding a certified dyslexia specialist.
Will you talk with my child's teacher?
With your permission, yes. A short check-in with the classroom teacher helps me support what your child is already learning at school.
How will I know my child is making progress?
You'll get regular updates with what we worked on, what's improving, and a simple idea or two for home.
How do I pay?
Payment is due at each session, or in advance for a package. Payment options will be shared when you book.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Sessions canceled with less notice are charged in full, except for illness or emergencies.
